Alcatraz Dining Group was pleased to acquire the Mortimer Arms on the 5th November 2007.

This Victorian building has been refurbished combining a unique blend of old world charm and modern sophistication.After a long day, sink into the comfort of one of our en-suite rooms. We provide the perfect location for a weekend in the country with the New Forest National Park on our door step and a short distance from Romsey, Southampton and Bournemouth

The back of house team that we inherited, which have been there for many years, take a great deal of pride in their work, this means the bedrooms and halls are always spotless, and of a high standard.

We appointed a new manager Mark Albray in February, Mark came from Balmer Lawn hotel in Brockenhurst, he has an excellent background in hotels in the New Forest National Park area,.

A refurbishment was planned and in March we closed down for refurbishment on the main bar and restaurant area. 

We re-opened on Friday 14th March and were delighted with the results.

We have recently launched a new menu, with the emphasis on locally sourced produce.
The menus include a good blend of British Pub dishes and classic favourites.Prices range from £8 upwards for a main course
